Yoga For Circulation – 4 person limit Many diseases are linked with poor circulation and difficulty with waste and toxin removal, Lymphedema, High Blood Pressure, Atherosclerosis, Heart Failure, Stroke, Peripheral Arterial Disease, Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy to name a few. Circulation is a total body function and all body parts and organs are engaged in some way with influencing the movement of or hindering of fluid within the body. The need to support the body’s circulation begins with understanding how the body naturally moves and removes fluid. Congestion and overflow can be minimized when clients include core influences allowing for improved ability for skill building. Everyone should know how to support circulation and embed simple core strategies into daily activities easy and low cost. Breathing techniques, use of vibrations, sequencing appropriately, spinal protection, and deep relaxation will provide the body with the self-care that it needs to keep the body healthy by circulating nutrients and waste. Positions are gentle and focused on natural alignment of the spine and reducing compression and restriction of fluid movement.     Bio Kim Burns, OTR/L, CLT has treated in a variety of populations and settings from early childhood through geriatrics with acute and chronic diagnoses such as developmental disorders, musculoskeletal dysfunction, orthopedic conditions, sensory integration dysfunction, lymphedema and other trauma related conditions.
