Join members of Tropical Trekkers Chapter as they mow, trim and blaze their section of the Florida Trail – from Lake Okeechobee to the S65A lock on the Kissimmee River. We will be maintaining the existing trail sections in Yates Marsh, Chandler Slough, Micco Landing to Oak Creek, Starvation Slough, No Name Slough and Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park. The work will include clearing the trail corridor, grubbing out small trees and brush, clearing roots and trees, mowing and blazing. Lunch and dinner will be provided by Tropical Trekkers and FTA. Campsites at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park will be provided by Tropical Trekkers. Please register for this event and also confirm with Rich Quinn via email at email@example.com.
