This December, Magic City Casino welcomes the legendary Smokey Robinson!
William “Smokey” Robinson started his career as the founder and front man of the American rhythm and blues vocal group The Miracles. Early on in his career, he was involved in the conceptualization of Motown Records and eventually became the Vice President of the label. He wrote and produced hits for many Motown legends, while compiling a list of iconic hits himself, including “Shop Around,” “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “I Second That Emotion” and the number-one pop hit “The Tears of a Clown.” Robinson has continued to be a pioneer in the industry, receiving a Grammy Award and a National Medal of Arts Award, getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and receiving two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
