Flagler Audubon Society is going on a boat tour! We've chartered a boat from Marine Discovery Center, which results in a discount to members. ****Must buy ticket 5 days in advance for Coast Guard requirements. Meet at the Marine Discovery Center at 9:30am for a 10:00am departure.**** "Travel the Indian River Lagoon in the comfort of our 40-passenger Discovery pontoon boat and explore the variety of species that call the lagoon home. Your tour guide on the 2-hour journey will be one of our friendly certified Florida naturalists who will share information about the lagoon’s wildlife through narration and hands-on specimens. Dolphins, manatees, wading birds and sea turtles are often seen during these tours. As your captain skillfully navigates the backwaters of the lagoon, you will experience Florida’s natural beauty while learning about conservation efforts to preserve and protect North America’s most biologically diverse estuary. Our vessel is licensed and inspected by the United States Coast Guard." ABOUT US Flagler Audubon Society provides monthly bird walks, field trips and educational speakers on nature & environmental topics. Beginners and nonmembers are ALWAYS welcome. Experienced guides will help you see the birds and explore varied habitats. Most events are free.
