ABOUT THE ARTIST: Growing up in the Bronx and Greenwich Village, Toni Brown found her passion when she picked up her first guitar at the tender age of 14. Toni's early influencers were (and continue to be) people like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and of course the Grateful Dead. In 1979, Toni became editor and publisher of Relix Magazine. She successfully took the fledgling publication to a broader audience and became one of the most influential women in the music scene. As Relix gained momentum, she stepped up as a musician, and began her side career and first passion, beginning the long journey as the Toni Brown Band and as a solo artist. She now performs with her husband, Ed Munson, fronting the ever-evolving Lunar Mountaineers. Toni currently performs throughout Florida, travels through Spain, and makes occasional forays to Pennsylvania, New York and elsewhere. Her latest release is Del Corazon with Ed Munson, John Beland, and Daniel Noel, Sr. ABOUT THE SHOW: A little bit of Blues; A little bit of Country; A little bit of Classic Rock, and A little bit of the Grateful Dead…That's what you are going to get when you come to see Toni Brown and Ed Munson in concert at Common Grounds.
