The attendees will be presented a certificate of 15 hours for attending the conference and hours of direct contact time for each workshop. It will be the attendee's responsibility to present this certificate to his/her Board of Professional Engineers for use in fulfilling continuing education requirements. The confernce organizers are responsible only for issuing the attendance certificate. The conference is an approved provider for continuing education by NY and FL boards of professinal engineers.  2- Is there going to be a reception? Yes, a reception will be held on Thursday, December 12th from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the exhibit hall. 3- Is there a program for the spouses? Yes, Miami Tour Company has put three tours (please see below) for us together. You can also call and make reservations over the phone with their special discount code.  Tour Descriptions: MIAMI TO THE MAX! (Duration: 4 hours) — This is our most popular tour. The day begins with a guided bus ride around Miami and Miami Beach. The bus stops at 5 different places where you can take pictures and walk around. Here are the places we visit: Art Deco District, Wynwood Walls Street Art District, Little Havana Cuban Neighborhood, Domino Park, and Bayside Market outdoor shopping mall. The tour will make a 90-minute stop in Little Havana for lunch. You will be able to explore the area on your own, or stay with the guide and take a guided walking tour of the area. When you book with us, you'll also get FREE bottled water on the bus and a beautifully illustrated map. The tour starts at 10:00 AM and ends at about 2:00 PM. We start off on a guided tour to Everglades National Park. On the way, you'll hear music and stories from a professional audio guide. Upon arrival at the Everglades Park, you will embark on an exciting, 45-minute shared airboat ride. Right after, you will have the chance to learn more about the gators and ecosystem in the wildlife show. There is a cafeteria and a gift shop at the park, as well as a suspended boardwalk nature trail for you to peruse through nature.The tour starts at 10:15 AM and ends at about 2:15 PM. Here's a link to the page where you can book yourself online – https://miamitourcompany.com/everglades-adventure    MIAMI BOAT TOUR (Duration: 90 minutes) — To really see Miami, you must get out on the water, and there is no better way to enjoy the experience than on this relaxing boat tour around Star Islands and the celebrity homes. There is a full bar on the boat. Snacks and drinks are for sale. As a special thank you for booking with us, you'll also receive a FREE** beer or soft drink (**valid only for trips between 10:30am and 5:30pm).  Tours departs between 10:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Pick up here is at 9:15 AM for the Miami to the Max! Tour and 10:10 AM for the Evergladfes Tour.However, if the group has a minimum of 15 passengers on the Miami to the Max or the Everglades Tour, we can schedule a complementary pick up right at their hotel for that service.** We do not offer pick up services for the Boat Tours since these depart every hour. 4- Are hotel discount rates offered for conference attendees? Yes, a block of rooms at a special discounted conference rate of $199+tax is reserved for confernce attendees. These rates are available on a first come first serve basis. All refund requests must be in writing and emailed to Ms. Saremi at msare001@fiu.edu. If you do not cancel, and are not able to attend the conference, you will be responsible for your full registration fees. All refunds are subject to $100 administration processing fee. Is my registration fee transferable? Yes, registration fees are transferable. If you cannot attend the conference and have already paid, please email us the name of the person that will attend on your behalf to  Ms. Saremi at msare001@fiu.edu
