REEF’s 2020 Upper Keys Lionfish Derby and Festival

Four-person teams can sign up to compete. Friday at REEF headquarters, mile marker 98.3, late registrations are held at 5:30 p.m., and a one-hour mandatory Captain's Meeting follows for the team captains. Teams may begin collecting lionfish at sunrise Saturday. All lionfish must be turned into the scoring station. After Sunday’s collections are complete, there is to be lionfish scoring, fillet and dissection demonstrations, lionfish tastings, games, raffle prizes and other activities, open to public. Chefs will be providing lionfish cooking demonstrations and tastings.
