Celebrate New Year's Eve tonight in an early show at Woody's Waterside. Florida is famous for the "Early Bird Special". There are Early Bird breakfasts, lunches and dinners, movies, car deals, and boat deals. Just about every recreational activity has an early bird special. Why not an "Early Bird" New Year's Eve Party? That’s what is happening at Woody’s Waterside on December 31 from 6pm-9pm featuring Yard Dog Charlie. Woody’s Waterside is a SW Florida restaurant and bar on the Monroe canal in St. James City with a great tiki bar. There will be hats and horns, and a big "Midnight" champagne toast and celebration at 9PM. Then everyone can get home early before it’s too dangerous to drive with all the amateur drunks and cops out there after midnight. On January 1st, New Year’s Day from 3pm-6pm The Ft. Myers Beach Moose Lodge will host the 12th annual “Hair of the Dog New Year's Day Party” featuring the Florida swamp Music of Yard Dog Charlie. It'll be open to my friends and fans, too. This event was started by the Yard Dogs about 12 years ago and Charlie is keepin‘ it going. It’s a chance to come and work through your New Year’s Eve hangover. Charlie will even supply aspirin and puke bucket. This is one or the biggest and best parties of the year and it’s a great way to kick start the new year. You can get in by asking for Ed or Char at the door and they’ll let you in.
