A hilarious musical whodunit by Rupert Holmes which won the Tony Award in 1986 for Best Musical. Loosely based on Charles Dickens’ famous unfinished novel, it takes audience participation to new heights by letting you directly affect the play’s outcome by voting for whomever you think murdered the unfortunate young Edwin Drood. Presented as a “first night” performance during the Christmas season by the The Music Hall Royale, a troupe of decidedly hammy Victorian actors, this witty, tuneful, and affectionate recreation of a bygone theatrical age is a perfect beginning to your holiday season.
