We had just about 90 people which made for an intimate gathering. We decided to try to expand the concept, and following a brand update, Ministry Of Technology Expo was created to bring in the video with the audio and lighting aspect of AVL. Somewhere along the way, we started calling it MOTX, and even with yet another brand update to Minstry AND Technology Expo, the name MOTX stuck! You are most welcome to come and experience the only music and tech conference that we know of that is still free to attend! Celebrating our 10 year anniversary Yes, it does seem like yesterday that Russell Byas and Tony Flammia, Creative's founders, were driving home from a very well known conference, and lamenting the fact that none of the customers that they currently had could afford to actually attend the conference, AND simultaneously purchase the gear that they had just seen at the conference. For most churches, it would simply be one or the other. They thought, "what if worship leaders, music directors, and pastors could see and experience all of these great brands of music and tech, but didn't have to pay for admission, parking, and in most cases travel and lodging?". It was the concept that became a reality, and on March 6-7, 2020, you will again be able to get your hands on hundreds of great audio, video, lighting brands and products, completely free of charge. City Gate Church in Downtown Fort Myers, Florida, has graciously donated their space in order for us to make this happen, and we couldn't be happier to finally get the oppurtunity to partner with them on this very special occasion. Before they joined forces with First Baptist of Fort Myers to become City Gate, they were a modest church plant called elevation serving out of Fort Myers High School auditorium on Sunday. People seemed to like their message. God saw fit to bring them together and after operating seperately for about a year in the FBC building, they officially joined hands to become CIty Gate, one unified church. They also happen to be our longest running customer and partner, so getting to do this Expo with them represents a sort of coming full circle and the victory of what our relationship has been to each of us.
