Born in Miami, and now back in Miami after developing a major career in New York, MARTIN BEJERANO is on the cognoscenti’s lists of “hot young pianists” while leading the Jazz Piano program at UM Frost School. SHELLY BERG, Dean at UM's Frost School, is a five-time Grammy® nominee, hosts a monthly radio show on Sirius XM, is music director of The Jazz Cruise, and artistic advisor for the Jazz Roots Series at the Arsht Center. In demand all over the world, these two classically trained pianists rarely get to play an entire evening together. This is their debut performance at La Merced, where their highest level of relaxed jazz club sensibility will shine in the 23 carat gold, art-filled Baroque chapel.
