The Solose Piano Duo has toured Canada, the US and Hungary to great accolades. Natives of Niagara Falls in Canada, the sisters have also performed at the American Liszt Society Festival in Washington, DC, the St. Petersburg (Russia) Conservatory International Festival, and at the College Music Society International Conferences in Vienna and in Buenos Aires. The duo has premiered works at new music festivals in the U.S. and Canada, and have been broadcast nationally on CBC Radio Canada and National Public Radio in the U.S. Their CD of works by Liszt, Rachmaninov, Chopin and Schubert was released by Eroica Classical Recordings.

Kathleen Solose, Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, is an esteemed performer and master teacher of a wide variety of solo and chamber music repertoire. She received numerous Canada Council grants for further study abroad at the Juilliard School, with Adele Marcus, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy with Guido Agosti, the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome with Carlo Zecchi, the Vienna Meisterkurse and the Moscow Conservatory with Stanislav Neuhaus. Unanimous first-prize winner of the Casagrande International Competition in Italy and winner of CBC Canada’s National auditions for both solo and chamber music, Kathleen Solose has appeared in recital in Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Serbia, Italy, Russia, Australia, the United States, and Canada.

Jane Solose is retired as Professor of Piano and Keyboard Coordinator of Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Music and Dance, University of Missouri-Kansas City, and currently lives in Daytona Beach Shores. Students of Dr. Solose have received high honors and awards in competitions and pursue academic and performing careers. Many of her former students currently hold teaching positions at universities and colleges worldwide. Her career as a featured concerto soloist, solo recitalist, chamber musician, duo pianist and master teacher has taken her to Korea, Japan, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Russia, Argentina, Canada, and around the U.S. She is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music, the University of Toronto and the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Dr. Solose received her DMA from the Eastman School of Music, where she was awarded their prestigious Performer's Certificate and was David Burge’s first teaching assistant.
