Guest of Honor, Captain Paul Watson, founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, star of Whale Wars and other films; notably the most well known and effective direct action marine conservationist will be in attendance. We also have the pleasure of having Director Mark Benjamin and Producer Katie Carpenter joining us.
Chasing the Thunder is a high-seas documentary about the Sea Shepherd’s epic 110-day, 10,000-mile chase of the “Thunder,” considered the world’s most notorious poaching vessel. Across two seas and three oceans, the marine activists hunted the fugitive
fishing ship through massive ice floes, storms-tossed seas, a near collision and violent clashes until the dramatic end.
Bill Moyers said: “This is a beautiful film. This is a terrifying film. This is a film the world must see if we humans and all the creatures we share the planet with are to stave off the end game to life that looms just ahead of us.."
