P.A.L.M. T.R.E.E. Symposium is a professional development conference hosted by the Association of Black Argumentation Professionals (A.B.A.P.). Its designed to equip educators with innovative teaching tools and creative coaching strategies to invigorate critical thinking and comprehension geared towards students of color. The conference is being hosted at the beautiful University of Miami campus by the Communications Department. Act now for your chance to be part of this unique experience.  We offer training in four (4) distinct areas: 1. "Its takes a village" sessions – Being an educator often requires more than book knowledge and degrees. As we continue to strive to provide support, guidance and leadership to the future leaders of the world we must equip ourselves with the tools necessary for success. These sessions are geared towards developing critical teaching skills, behavioral management and classroom readiness for students of all ages and backgrounds.  Behavioral Management Lesson Plan preparation Time management  Debate as a Heuristic 2. "Value in Diversity" Sessions – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives are quickly becoming the standard by which schools, businesses and team cultures are built. As the world continues to change and adapt to the growing demand of these changes we seek innovative speakers, educators and collaborators to share their work on a national platform.  Anti-blackness in education Teaching “at-risk” populations White Privilege Micro-Aggressions Supporting LGBTQ Students Creating “safer” spaces “Ally”ship  Creating Access-Oriented Education 3. "C.R.E.A.M." Sessions – As Wu Tang once proclaimed, cash rules everything around me. Money isn’t everything but it is crucial to aid in providing support, training and education to students.
