Join us for our second lecture focusing on healthcare. This event is free and open to the community! Parking is free and refreshments are being provided by Davita Medical. Angela Birdsong has focused her career on navigating the complex Medicare Program. She has spent years working with baby boomers, retirees and disabled persons on Social Security to transition them to Medicare with clarity and understanding. She is recognized for her Medicare expertise and her ability to simplify the program, and will explain and answer your questions. Angela currently serves as the co-chair of our Healthcare Action Group. The League of Women Voters of Hillsborough County supports efforts to educate and increase awareness of healthcare issues and services by being advocates for enhanced health equity with an emphasis on Affordable Health Care, Medicare, Medicaid expansion and reproductive rights and services.
