In the first half of this session, you’ll learn the basics of breathing biomechanics and why most of us don’t breathe optimally. You’ll also discover how breathing impacts posture, mobility, stability, and strength. During the second half, Dana will take you through two simple breathing-based exercises that will demonstrate marked improvements in shoulder internal and external rotation as well as hip internal rotation. Learn how to look at movement first, not the drill. In this presentation, you’ll learn how to select and optimize the best speed drills for your athlete’s goals by gaining a better understanding of how to organize linear speed progressions for youth athletes. We’ll also help you identify the best “internal,” and “external,” coaching cues for speed drills to enable your athletes for optimal performance.
